We're currently seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher. The Lead Teacher will work in collaboration with a team to support children's developmental needs and support parents in their role as the child's first and primary teacher. This individual will ensure that the classroom is meeting the needs of each child by analyzing classroom assessments and individual child outcomes. This data will be used to implement intentional curriculum in a nurturing, warm, safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
We are looking for candidates who will guide and model appropriate practices for Assistant Teachers and volunteers under her/his supervision in the classroom. The person ion this role must be experienced, dedicated and have a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices, child assessment, curriculum development and have the ability to relate to and communicate well with parents and staff.
The qualified candidate will also be responsible in ensuring classroom compliance with Head Start, Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, NAEYC, and CACFP standards to provide a quality experience for children and families in a warm, safe, and healthy environment.
The qualified candidate will require a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and be EEC Preschool Lead Teacher certified. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
CTl's Early Leaming Program also provides ongoing professional development to support each teacher's increasing skill levels.
