POSITION
Responsibilities:Maintain current knowledge in areas of Admitting and Registration. Interviews inpatients and outpatients with a courteous and professional demeanor to obtain accurate demographic and financial information (or maintain existing information) for a medical record and billing third party payors.Enters all such information into the hospital information systems.May also obtain information from physician referral slips.Obtains all required signatures relevant to patient treatment, financial agreement, and regulatory requirements.Responsible for selecting appropriate screens and codes to insure that statistics are maintained accurately for financial reporting.

informs patients of current or past due financial obligations as required by the area specific benchmarks.

Accurately documents the patient s stated complaint/admitting diagnosis and any procedures to be performed, if applicable.

Maintains knowledge of third party payers and/or managed care contractual requirements for pre-registration and registration.

Follows hospital policy regarding procedure for eligibility verification of all accounts.Eligibility is properly documented within the patient s record.

Interacts with physicians, nursing units, and office staff in a courteous and professional manner.

Meets the requirements of area specific benchmarks related to productivity and customer service such as wait times, call monitoring score card scores, number of registrations or calls processed, etc.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
