ChiefOperating Officer DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Development& Communications works closely with the Chief OperatingOfficer, Executive Director, Board of Trustees and Friends ofLCCPS to direct fundraising and communications efforts for theschool.
Key Duties:
Increase awareness of LCCPS in the community and throughout thestate, including developing marketing materials, attendingcommunity events, and other duties as assigned.
Develop and lead capital campaign efforts for multi-milliondollar capital campaign.
Work with the Board of Trustees and School Leadership to raisefunds for the school through the research and management of opportunities for grant-writing,fundraising and other development activities and events Develop communications and fundraising strategic plans to bereviewed and approved by the COO, Executive Director, Board of Trustees and Friends ofLCCPS; Design, establish, manage and monitor communicationsinitiatives through online and hardcopy newsletters, e-mails, mailings, social media, website content, andother communication avenues; including school marketing for studentand faculty recruitment; Aggressively build and maintain a donor base and ongoingcommunication with donors.
Directly manage and maintain donordatabase.
Work with School Leadership to build and manage acollaborative, productive.
working relationship with Friends of LCCPS.
Acts as liaison to the Friendsof LCCPS on fundraising and communications matters.
CoordinateFriends of LCCPS meetings.
Develops press releases and media materials along withestablishing relations with local and state media outlets; Promote relationships between the school and political,education, and business leaders in the city, region and state; Plan, organize, and manage community relations events topublicize, raise funds, and promote the school; Support advocacywork for the school in collaboration with the school's supportingagencies.
Develop; all public documents and marketing materials; hardcopy and on-line Represent the School at external events; Supporting Board of Trustees communications Coordinate and develop school-wide communications, includingparent surveys, and assist in the coordination ofinterpretation/translation assignments for school/parentcommunications.
Support Parent and Teacher fundraising efforts Support financial and accountability oversight of alldevelopment operations in collaboration with the businessoffice.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated experience in effective publicrelations/communications/marketing; Demonstrated experience in capital campaigns andfundraising; Strong leadership skills and personal drive; Outstanding communications skills and appreciation fordiversity; ability to work collaboratively in a large, diverse organization essential Passion for children and their families; An entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record; Strategic planning experience; Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability tomanage multiple, discrete projects; Appreciation for and interest in programs to improveeducational achievement; Demonstrated success in working in a collaborativeenvironment; Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word,Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with social media preferred; openness to learn touse social media essential Training and
Experience:
Prior experience in capital campaigns, fundraising, grantwriting and communications are essential; Minimum of 5 years in a related field.
Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preffered.
Experiencemay subsitute for education requirements at the discretion of theschool.
Prior experience in a leadership role in a non-profit oreducational institution.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
